“Caucasus Online” was sanctioned for violating consumer rights

GNCC has imposed a sanction in a form of written warning upon Ltd “Caucasus Online” for violating consumer rights of a citizen Ucha Nebieridze.

Based on a petition submitted by the office of Public Defender of Consumer Rights, the Commission has revealed upon the case-study, that Ltd “Caucasus Online” didn’t have written agreement with a subscriber Ucha Nebieridze and has provided him with poor quality services. Also, Ltd “Caucasus Online” has supplied Public Defender’s office of GNCC with untimely and incomplete information related to the complaint.

Another significant violation has been revealed during the monitoring process upon which Ltd “Caucasus Online” has been delivering the broadcast transit services for adult subscribers (+18) with improper encoder.

GNCC, based on a case-study and after listening to the positions of both parties, decided to partially satisfy Mr. Nebieridze’s complaint.The Commission believes that Ltd “Caucasus Online” has violated GNCC’S regulation on “Consumer Protection and Service Standards in Electronic Communications Field” and has imposed a sanction in a form of written warning.

Ltd "Caucasus Online" was also tasked to implement actions, namely: The company within a reasonable timetable must limit delivery of product without proper encoding containing harmful influence on juveniles and to compensate subscriber UchaNebieridze for the days of service malfunction.
