The Georgian National Communications Commission commenced public administrative proceedings on issuance of a broadcasting license.

Comedy TV Ltd applied to the Commission for a broadcasting license using terrestrial and orbital stations of broadcasting satellite systems. The type of the license is private specialized (entertaining) broadcasting; geographical area is Georgia; broadcasting duration – 8 hours during a 24-hour period.

A public hearing regarding the issue will be held at GNCC on August 3, 2012, at 16:00. The Commission will make its decision within 10 working days after the public hearing.

The application and attached documentation submitted by Comedy TV Ltd to the Commission is in compliance with the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting.
