The Georgian National Communications Commission considered the issue of sanctioning Caucasus Online Ltd.

Within the framework of administrative proceedings the Commission argued with the company over illegal retransmission of several broadcasting channels. Representatives of the company attended the session held at GNCC. They were given a possibility to express their opinions. After examining the proofs regarding the issue the Georgian National Communications Commission took a decision to give a warning to Caucasus Online Ltd. The company was charged with immediate discontinuance of illegal retransmission of the following broadcasting channels: “Первый ТВЧ”, “Кинопоказ 1HD”, “Кинопоказ 2HD”,”Женский мир HD”, “Телепутешествие HD”, HD Кино, HD1 3D, Redlight HD, 3D by Panasonic, Sky Sport 24,ICTV, Arte HD,  ТНТ, Disney Channel.  

We remind you that Magticom Ltd submitted a letter to the Commission, in which the company notifies that in spite of its attempt, the company could not receive a permit for retransmission of ТНТ channel as well as other channels. Magticom Ltd applies to the Commission to hold a monitoring to find out whether other cable operators have legally placed the mentioned broadcasting channels in their networks. Breaches made by Caucasus Online were found as a result of the monitoring held on the basis of the mentioned letter.
