Communications Commission Joins the Safer Internet Day Initiative

February 7 is the International Safer Internet Day, celebrated annually by the Communications Commission. The initiative is designed to promote positive and safe use of digital technologies and the internet.

During this year's online session, media literacy development trainer Ani Gvetadze presented the projects of the Communications Commission aimed at creating opportunities for safe internet access for the population of Georgia. At the end of the presentation, the organiser of the meeting and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Internet Society Rati Skhirtladze noted that ComCom's media literacy projects were outstanding and impressive on a global level.

Within the framework of the same initiative, the Communications Commission will also conduct training seminars in public schools, where students will have the opportunity to understand how to use the internet safely and also how to contribute to the creation of a better online space.

The Media Literacy Department of the Communications Commission continues to care for the development of media literacy among teenagers, parents, and teachers.
