Communications Commission Publishes ComCom Digest for the Months of January and February

The Communications Commission has published ComCom Digest for the months of January and February providing an overview of the activities and important decisions taken by the Commission over the past two months.

The year 2021 started with important news for the Commission, as it received the ISO 9001:2015 certificate for protecting consumers’ interests and fulfilling its legal duties. The certificate confirms that the Commission continuously strives to improve its performance, comply with international standards, develop its technologies and, most importantly, maintain active communication with consumers (obtain vital feedback and take it into account during the decision-making process).

ComCom Digest gathers all the interesting information about the events from the past two months, including recent numbers of mobile subscribers, reports of ComCom Analytics, decisions made by the Communications Commission, and the recent developments on the telecommunications market.

Find out which broadcaster has been fined for airing a movie unsuitable for minors, and what penalty was imposed on Mtavari Arkhi for broadcasting a programme containing obscenity. ComCom Digest presents the Commission’s stance on resolving the problem of obscenity. Readers can also find out how Member of Parliament Pridon Injia tried to conceal his unlawful actions, and how he uses the platform of the Parliament to pursue his personal business interests.

ComCom Digest also includes information about the awards ceremony and winners of the latest edition of the media literacy contest “Truth or Fiction?”.
