The Communications Commission would like to state that there is no reason or basis for raising tariffs on telecommunications services. Following the announcement made by the companies Magticom and Silknet to this end, the Commission began actively studying the issues. The Commission aims to establish whether the two major operators made an adequate decision with regards to price changes. 

The Communications Commission calls on both operators to halt the process of raising tariffs until the Commission finishes studying the issue.

Furthermore, we wish to clarify the Commission has all the necessary leverages afforded to it by the legislation to strongly respond to any unlawful decisions taken by companies.
