Conference in the Framework of the “Eastern Partnership” (EaP) to be Held for the Second Time in Georgia

 

Two-day conference in the framework of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) will be held on April 1-2, 2014 in Tbilsi. The Georgian National Communications Commission hosts the seminar with the financial support of the European Union for the second time.

 

During two-day seminar dynamics of the electronic communications market of the region, namely, tariff calculation methodology, mobile and fixed phone service termination methods, broadband (Internet) service development, as well as quality of service on the electronic communications market and consumer rights defense will be discussed. Besides, during conference regulators management models and their structure in the EU space will be discussed. Radio frequency spectrum management experience will be shared, electronic communications market entry and existing network access and interconnection possibilities will be discussed as well. Finally, at the meeting the parties will discuss harmonized regulation rules implementation process in relation to the EU as well as the Eastern Partnership partner countries.

 

The conference is implemented with financial support of the European Union and is organized by PricewaterhouseCoopers Slovakia.

 

Two-day conference in Tbilisi is visited by representatives of regulatory bodies and ministries of the Eastern Partnership partner countries Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine and representatives of Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Austria and the organizer company PricewaterhouseCoopers Slovakia.

 

The conference will be opened on April 1, 2014, at 09:00 in Tbilisi Courtyard Marriott Hotel (Liberty Square 4).
