By the decision of March 31, 2014 the Georgian National Communications Commission announced the contest for obtaining licenses for the use of radio frequency spectrum in order to provide digital terrestrial TV broadcasting network.

Five frequency resources are presented for formation of nationwide digital terrestrial TV broadcasting networks.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has informed the Commission in writing of willingness to consider financial support for winning company (companies) in the contest for radio frequency spectrum licenses to provide digital terrestrial TV broadcasting network.
