On a session held on March 12, GNCC has provided the modification of a license for “GDS TV” Ltd. The company became a general license holder in the scope of which it obtained rights to broadcast news and social-political programs.

On October 13, 2014, the company has submitted request to the Commission for the modification of its own №B15 and №B125 licenses from specialized (entertaining) broadcasting  into general broadcasting. The Commission has begun public administrative proceedings in regards with the license modification on October 24. Before the essential issue discussion, the company has submitted new written explanation to the Commission, stating, that due to technical reasons, the company was un- able to prepare full-fledged broadcasting of the programs envisaged in accordance with the terms of general license and has requested to cease public proceedings. The request has been approved by the Commission.

On March 4, 2015, “DGS TV” has submitted new application to the Commission with regards to renew public proceedings for the license modification. On the basis of the application, the modification of №B15 and №B125 licenses from specialized (entertaining) broadcasting into general broadcasting has been implemented.
