The Georgian National Communications Commission commenced public administrative proceedings on the basis of a request of a non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entity Georgian TV Broadcasting Iveria. The company applies for modification of the technical specifications of its license in a way that would enable the company to distribute its broadcasting net worked out within the framework of the private broadcasting license N B111 through the terrestrial and orbital stations of broadcasting satellite systems. The Georgian TV Broadcasting Iveria received broadcasting license for activities via cable network by the Decision of the Georgian National Communications Commission of August 26, 2011. The type of the license is private broadcasting; the form of the license is general broadcasting; the geographical zone is Tbilisi, Batumi, Zugdidi, Poti, Senaki, Kutaisi and Rustavi cities. A hearing of the issue will be held at GNCC on January 30, at 16:00. The Decision of the Commission will be taken within 10 working days after the hearing.
