GNCC responds to recent publications disseminated in the media related to “Magticom” Ltd’s tariff politics.

GNCC, in accordance with a decision of January 25, 2011, has approved 1 minute tariff cap for mobile telephony services in the amount of 24 Tetri. The decision is valid and mandatory.

Within the conditions of current competition, subscribers are receiving services for rather cheaper price, subscribers using standard tariffs are those, who have not yet selected or activated various tariff packages.

GNCC does not get involved into the marketing politics of mobile operators, such responses will occur only if it is revealed, that an operator violates Commission’s decision and an established 1 minute tariff cap for mobile telephony services exceeds 24 Tetri.

Consumer Rights Public Defender’s office under GNCC has addressed “Magticom” Ltd in a written form and has requested detailed information related to the company’s tariff changes. The Commission will make additional relevant comments in regard to the issue after examining the documents.
