GNCC has issued a written warning on ,,ALTERVISION TV“ Ltd due to the failure to present information to the Commission and also, has stopped its authorization for the next 3 years based on company’s application.  

On June 17, 2015, in accordance with changes made in Georgian law “on Broadcasting,” TV broadcasting has become an authorized activity. The licenses of all TV Companies have been automatically cancelled and the Commission has launched re-registration (authorization) of the companies noted through departmental registry of undertakings.  In accordance with the same changes, law has caused the necessity to present information in regard to broadcasting language/languages, spread of technology and possible geographical area, information about the funding of activities, sources of funding and property declaration as well.

The Commission has sent numerous written requests to ,,ALTERVISION TV“ Ltd for the purpose to present above-mentioned information, however, company has left Commission’s letters without a response, which is to why Commission has discussed an issue during the public session and has concluded to issue a written warning on company and also has satisfied company’s request to stop its authorization for a 3 year term.
