GNCC, based on an appeal of consumer Rights Public Defender’s Office under the Commission, has launched formal administrative proceedings against “Mobitel” Ltd (Beeline).

Based on the appeal of Consumer Rights Public Defender’s office under the Commission, it turns out, that the prisoner N.S, placed in the detention and imprisonment facility №8 of Ministry of Corrections and Legal Assistance of Georgia, before his imprisonment, was a subscriber of “Mobitel” Ltd (Beeline). After his imprisonment, the mobile phone together with a SIM card (Number 571 09 0X XX) has been kept in the investigation office for 7-8 months, and the members of applicant’s family, for the purpose to maintain a phone number, kept depositing money on the balance of subscriber’s number periodically. Regardless, the phone number has been confiscated from N.S without any warning and has been sold to another person. The Consumer Rights Public Defender under GNCC believes, that the subscriber number of N.S has been revoked illegally.
