GNCC has imposed a sanction on “Mobitel” Ltd with a brand name “Beeline”- in the form of a written warning.

 The case concerns termination of international calls assumingly with a changed “A” number (a call setup subscriber number). The monitoring carried out by the Commission’s administrative department reveals, that testing calls at mobile companies have been terminated by “Mobitel” Ltd, Russian telephone numbers were exposed as “A” numbers. In the month of July, from 9 222 761 minutes that have been terminated from abroad in Georgia  by “Mobitel Ltd, 3 943 846 minutes were provided with above-noted Russian “A” numbers (74957450506, 74957898516,  74957898629).

The identification of international “A” numbers imported by “Mobitel” Ltd from abroad can’t be determined in full, GNCC considered, that approved on November 18, 2010, by the resolution N355 of the Government of Georgia, paragraph I of Article 13 “Regulation on National Numbering System of Electronic Communications Networks of Georgia” is being violated, which is why “Mobitel Ltd has been given a written warning.
