The Media Lab of the Communications Commission, together with Georgia’s Innovation & Technology Agency (GITA) and Startup Büro, organised the global digital game creation contest Global Game Jam, which was held at the Technology Park. Global Game Jam is the largest game creation event that takes place in different countries across the world. The theme of the contest in Georgia was ‘roots.’ Participants were given 48 hours to create digital or non-digital games on the given topic.

The event included speakers who shared their knowledge and experience with the contestants. At the end of the two-day competition, the jury panel selected the winning projects from 16 teams: “Groot,” “pantium 5” and “royals.” The teams received cash prizes of GEL 1500, 1000 and 500, respectively.

The Media Lab has been supporting startuppers and helping them develop their ideas for more than three years.
