The Georgian National Communications Commission informs you that the numbering of fixed local telephone networks shall be changed on June 4, 2011, 00:00.

In Tbilisi city 6-digit numbers shall be replaced by 7-digit and existed subscriber numbers shall be added ”2” as the first digit, for instance: subscriber number 76XXXX shall be replaced by 276XXXX. In order to make a call from other geographic zones and mobile networks to Tbilisi the following numbering code shall be used – 32 (code of the city) 276 XXXX (number of a subscriber).

The length of subscriber numbers shall remain unchanged In Rustavi only, where the  geographic code 34 shall be replaced by 341, and in local telephone networks of the city the first digit “1” of a subscriber number shall be replaced by “2”, for instance: subscriber number 15XXXX shall be changed by 25XXXX; in order to make a call from other geographic zones and mobile networks to Rustavi the following numbering code shall be used – 341 (code of the city) -2X-XX-XX (number of a subscriber).

In other towns and municipal administrative centers of Georgia five-digit numbers shall be replaced by six-digit numbers; local telephone numbers shall be added “2” as the first digit, for instance: in Kutaisi phone number 3XXXX shall be replaced by 23XXXX; in order to make a call from other geographic zones and mobile networks to Kutaisi the following numbering code shall be used – 431 (code of the city) -23XXXX (number of a subscriber).
