Today, on July 17, 2014, preparatory session of radio broadcasting contest in Rustavi has been held at the Georgian National Communications Commission.

Only one company Newcom Ltd participates in the contest. At today’s session the sealed documentation of the contestant was opened publicly. In accordance with the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting the documentation submitted by the company was not complete. The Commission determined additional five-day period to complete the documentation.

Public hearing, where the Broadcasting Regulation Department of the Commission will present the conclusion regarding the contest application, will be held on August 14, at13:00. The contest where the winner company will be officially announced will be held on August 18, 2014, at 13:00.

The Commission announced the contest for issuance of private general radio broadcasting license in Rustavi by the decision of June 5, 2014.
