GNCC has announced contests in the 6 municipalities of Georgia for the issuance of private and community radio broadcasting licenses.

In accordance with the Commission’s decision, following companies are participating in the contests announced for the issuance of private and general radio broadcasting licenses:

Borjomi - FM 103.9 – “Radio Center Plus” Ltd (license usage fee totals   6 075 GEL).  

Bakuriani - FM 90.7 – “Radio Holding Fortuna” Ltd  (license usage fee totals 4 252, 50 GEL).

Igoeti - FM 93.7 - “Radio Holding Fortuna” Ltd   (license usage fee totals 5 163, 75 GEL).

Khashuri - FM98.6 the contest for the issuance of specialized radio broadcasting license has been declared failed, since no application has been submitted.

 The following companies are participating in the contests announced for the issuance of community radio broadcasting licenses:

Gori - FM 97.8 – NNLE “Gori Community Radio Mosaic”   (fee for the usage of community radio broadcasting license has been defined in the amount of  6 075 GEL).  

Marneuli - FM 96.9 - NNLE "Journalists Union of People's Voice" (fee for the usage of community radio broadcasting license has been defined in the amount of   4 252 ,50 GEL).

Public hearing session of all 5 contests where the Commission’s Broadcasting Regulatory Department will present final decision related to the contestants broadcasting concepts to the commissioners, contestants and the audience, to be held on July 8, 2016, at 3 pm. An actual contest session, where commissioners will reveal the winner bidders, is scheduled for July 14, 2016, at 3 pm.
