Submission of applications at GNCC for the contest announced in order to obtain radio broadcasting licenses in Tbilisi at FM 93,1 and in Akhaltsikhe at FM 97.5 – has ended.

In Tbilisi, “TV-Style” Ltd will try to obtain a radio broadcasting license, as for Akhaltsikhe - NNLE “ South Gate Union.”

According to the Commission’s decision, winning bidders will become the holders of private- general radio broadcasting licenses, broadcasting 18 hours per day. The cost for the use of radio frequency spectrum in the city of Tbilisi is 10 692 Gel, in the city of Akhaltsikhe the cost totals 4 055 Gel.

Contest preparatory session where the sealed documents of the applicants are set to be opened publicly will be held on December 31, 2015, at 1 pm. The public hearing where the conclusion of Commission’s Broadcasting Regulation Department is set to be published will be held on February 2, 2016, at 2 pm. The contest session, where winning companies will be revealed, is scheduled for February 5, 2016, at 1 pm.
