Per GNCC’S request, mobile operators – “Magticom,” “Mobitel,” and “Geocell” have sent out short text messages to their mobile subscribers defined by the Decree N723 of the Government of Georgia in regards to the shutdown schedule of analogue broadcasting signal transmitting stations during Georgia’s transition to digital broadcasting.

“Magticom’s” short text message with a title GOVERNMENT has caused some confusion within a society. The Commission explains once again, that for the purpose to inform population additionally, short text messages have been sent out for mobile subscribers per GNCC’s request, and that the Government or any other state agency has nothing to do with a mistake made by “Magticom” Ltd.
