The company “Satelitservice” has been imposed two sanctions at the session held today at the Georgian National Communications Commission.

The company was carrying out unauthorized broadcasting by reason of which it was fined 5 000 GEL.

Besides, the company was retransmitting the following channels “Adjara TV”, “Euronews”, “National Geographic”, “Дом Кино”, “НТВ+Наш футбол”,  “НТВ+ футбол”,  “TНТ”, “CTC”, “Cartoon Network”, “Eurosport” and “Disney” through its cable network without any authorization. The representative of “Satelitservice” attended the session held at the Commission and admitted the violation.

After examining the proofs the Commission took the decision to impose fine on “Satelitservice” on the basis of the Code of Administrative Offences and to give a warning to the company in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Electronic Communications. The company was charged with payment of the fine within 30 days and with immediate discontinuance of illegal retransmission as of the date of coming into force of the Decision.
