GNCC has issued a written warning on “Iberia TV” Ltd for the re-transmission of the movies without proper licenses and permits.

“Iberia TV” Ltd has placed the movies: „Götterdämmerung - Morgen stirbt Berlin“and „Thoroughly Modern Millie” through its broadcasting net in October of 2015. The company, based on Commission’s request, was unable to present legitimate documentation of the lawful display of above-noted broadcasting product through Georgian territory, thus, the Commission considered, that “Iberia TV” Ltd has violated Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, “WIPO” Copyright Treaty, and the Georgian law on “Copyright and Related Rights Regulations” as well as the Georgian law “on Broadcasting.”
