GNCC, in the contest held on May 31, 2016, for the issuance of a license for the use of radio frequency spectrum in order to ensure broadband services, including the implementation of fourth generation (4G) services, has announced “Magticom” Ltd as a winning bidder.

At the auction session, “Magticom” Ltd has confirmed its readiness to make a payment of 25 391 303.00  GEL for the use of 10 (2x5) MHz frequency resource.

“Magticom” Ltd has made a payment - 30% - 7, 617 390.90 GEL for the usage of the resource in the Central State Budget of Georgia on June 1, 2016.

The Commission has made a decision for the issuance of a license for the use of radio frequency spectrum on “Magticom” Ltd’s name on June 2, 2016. In accordance with the decision noted, the company will make 70% remaining payment totaling 17, 773 912.10 GEL in the Central Budget of Georgia before June 2, 2017.

“Magticom” Ltd will be able to use license within a term of 15 years. The company, alongside with licensing terms and conditions, has an obligation of the coverage of 90% of the settlement of Georgia pursuant to the following time table:
