The consumer has filed a complaint against “Magticom” Ltd

GNCC has begun proceedings in regards to the complaint submitted by the consumer G.Gotvadze against “Magticom” Ltd.

The complaint submitted by “Magticom’s” subscriber G. Gotvadze states, that the balance of internet packages purchased through “Magticom” for three subscriber numbers under his ownership for the January 1st, 2015, was 25.8, 5.8 and 6.4 GB. According to the consumer’s definition, these gigabytes in case of non-usage within a certain period of time would freeze and it was possible to re-use them any time new internet packages were activated.

“Magticom” Ltd, since 2015, has cancelled internet packages purchased by the subscriber G.Gotvadze due to non-usage 7 days prior to the set deadline. Based on above-mentioned, G.Gotvadze has demanded from “Magticom”Ltd the recovery of cancelled gigabytes under the same conditions he has purchased the internet packages in the first place. However, in a letter received from the company, G.Gotvadze has been informed that “Magticom” has changed the service delivery terms and conditions according to which, the consumer was authorized to capitalize the acquired internet package within 30 days. According to the same changes, un-used units would be de-activated and stored for maximum 7 days before the purchase of a new pack, but after reaching the deadline existing gigabytes would entirely expire.

Subscriber   G.Gotvadze believes, that “Magticom” Ltd had no legal ground to change its term of service upon the product that has been already sold and to cancel the already purchased frozen gigabytes. Based on these circumstances, G.Gotvadze has addressed GNCC and requested that “Magticom” Ltd would restore gigabytes on all of three subscriber numbers under the same terms he has purchased these services.

GNCC has begun proceedings based on a complaint submitted by the subscriber of “Magticom” Ltd. Public hearing in regards to this issue is scheduled for July 16, 2015, at 16:00 pm.  The Commission will make a decision within ten working days after the public hearing.
