GNCC has refused to grant a broadcasting authorization to “Satojani” Ltd.

The company was planning a private general broadcasting using terrestrial satellite systems, 24 hours per day, in Turkish and Georgian languages. In their broadcasting concept Satojani” Ltd indicated, that aside from entertaining programs, the company would place news programs as well.  In accordance to the Georgian Law “on Broadcasting,” minimum program requirements established for general broadcasting is to have at least two thematic programs, including the broadcast of news and social-political programs.

GNCC has refused to grant broadcasting authorization to “Satojani” Ltd based on a submission of an incomplete broadcasting concept.
