Subscriber Number Porting Statistics Changes Constantly

107 422 subscribers of mobile networks as well as fixed networks have made use of number porting service. 96 266 subscribers out of this already use another network operator service.

 

Ported subscriber numbers statistics is following: as from the date of number portability implementation Geocell is the leader according to the quantity of ported numbers. For now, namely for January 20, 2012, 32 914 subscribers of Geocell have ported their numbers to other mobile networks and 45 386 subscribers have ported their numbers to Geocell from other competitor companies.

 

Mobitel Ltd i.e. Beeline is on the second place, which has drawn 23 996 subscribers from other companies networks and 19 413 subscribers of Beeline have ported their numbers to other mobile companies.

 

Magticom Ltd has drawn 30 847 subscribers to its network and 47 902 subscribers have ported their numbers from Magticom to competitor companies mobile networks.

 

And finally the company Silknet, where 4 subscribers of mobile network have ported their numbers from competitor companies.

 

We remind you that porting of subscriber numbers in mobile network started from February 15, 2011.

 

Porting service of subscriber numbers in fixed network started on December 1, 2011. In total up to one thousand subscribers of fixed wired network and fixed wireless network have made use of porting service. The statistics is following:

NewNet has drawn 16 subscribers from competitor companies and 63 subscribers have ported from New Net.

The company MyPhone has drawn 3 subscribers and has lost 3 subscribers.

According to the porting of subscriber numbers in fixed network Silknet has acquired the most quantity of subscribers - 900 subscribers from competitor companies and no subscriber has ported to other companies from Silknet.

 

The Georgian National Communications Commission explains that the success of implementation of number portability technology is measured not by the quantity of ported numbers but by supporting the development of keen competition between the operators. Promoting the competition, on its side, will be reflected directly on the tariff policy of the operators. All this is done for the welfare of consumers, which is the main purpose of the Georgian National Communications Commission.
