“Tabula” has obtained preliminary approval to transfer entertainment program licenses to “Rustavi2” and has received a written warning for violating the license terms at the same time

GNCC gave a preliminary approval to “Civic Education Fund” (TV Company Tabula) to transfer 2 licenses to “Rustavi2”Ltd and has issued a written warning upon “Tabula” at the same time.

In accordance with the Georgian law “on Broadcasting,” TV Company “Tabula” on May 13, 2015, has addressed GNCC with a request for a preliminary approval to transfer NB91 and NB99 licenses to “Rustavi2.”

During the session held on June 12, 2015, the Commission gave “Tabula” preliminary approval to transfer NB91 and NB99 licenses currently providing broadcasting of specialized (entertaining) programs in the cities of Kutaisi, Batumi, Senaki, Gori and Sachkhere to “Rustavi2.”

Also, during the process of the proceedings, The Commission has revealed that “Tabula” failed to submit weekly to the Commission its broadcasting net within the scope of NB91 and NB99 licenses, therefore, the company has violated license terms and has received a written warning.
