The Code of Conduct for Broadcasters was Approved

 The final revision of the Code of Conduct for Broadcasters has been carried out today at the Georgian National Communications Commission. Besides the Commissioners, the attendees were able to discuss the issues concerning the draft of the Code.

 

 The final version of the approved document will be sent to the Ministry of Justice of Georgia for legal examination. In accordance with the Georgian Law on Broadcasting, Article 50, GNCC was charged with the elaboration of the Code of Conduct on the basis of consultations with the functioning broadcasting companies and different representatives of the society.

 

 Besides GNCC the following TV companies participated in the process of elaboration of the Code of Conduct: “Rustavi 2”, “Imedi”, “Public Broadcaster”,  ”Kavkasia”, “Mze”, also the representatives of the society: “The Union of Orthodox Parents”, ”The Institute of Freedom”, “The Union of Teachers”, Union “Iberiana”, “Media Council”, The Public Defender’s Office and citizen Giorgi Kipiani.
