The Georgian National Communications Commission imposed administrative penalties on six authorized undertakings carrying out broadcasting transit

Ltd " PotisTeleviziisMokvarultaKlubi” has been given a warning for failing to submit supporting documentation (contracts, letters of permission)while illegally transiting broadcasting channels in the territory of Georgia without having a broadcasting authority. Meanwhile, in order to eliminate violations,"PotisTeleviziisMokvarultaKlubi"was ordered to immediately cease the illegal transit of broadcasting channels.

Ltd. "Batumi Media Group", has been fined in the amount of 27 000 GEL for failing to submit supporting documentation (contracts, letters of permission)while illegally transiting broadcasting channels across the territory of Georgia without having a broadcasting authority. Ltd “Batumi Media Group” was ordered to immediately cease the illegal transit of the broadcasting channels and the webpage creation and placement.

Ltd” TV Era” has been fined in the amount of 9,098.54 GEL for illegal transit of partial broadcasting channels in the territory of Georgia without having relevant contracts. The company has also received a warning for failing to include several broadcasting channels into the consumer packages,distributing them through cable networks without presenting confirming contracts/agreements and permit letters to the commission. “TV Era” was ordered to immediately cease the illegal broadcasting of those channelsretransmitted without contracts.

Ltd “Satellite Service” has been given a warning for failing to submit to the commission confirming agreements for retransmitting broadcasting channels before including them into the consumer packages and distributing via cable networks. 

Ltd “TV Dia” was given a warning for illegal transit of partial broadcasting channels in the territory of Georgia without having relevant contracts and/or permit letters. The company also failed to submit to the commission confirming agreements /permit letters for retransmitting broadcasting channels before including them into the consumer packages and distributing via cable networks. “TV Dia” was ordered to immediately cease the illegal transit of the channels across Georgia.

Ltd “TV XXI+” was ordered to pay a fine of 3000 GEL for illegal transit of broadcasting channels without having confirming agreements across the territory of Georgia. In order to eliminate violations, Ltd “TV XXI+” was ordered to immediately cease the illegal transit of the broadcasting channels.
