TV and Radio Company Trialeti Ltd Was Imposed Fine

TV and Radio Company Trialeti Ltd was imposed a fine in the amount of 5 000 GEL at the session held today at the Georgian National Communications Commission. The sanction was imposed on the company for unlicensed and unauthorized use of radiofrequency spectrum (11.864-12.064 MHz frequency range) in Gori.

The Commission explains that TV and Radio Company Trialeti Ltd is a private broadcasting license holder and carries out general broadcasting activities, at the same time it is an authorized undertaking (so called cable operator) which carries out transit of broadcasting. TV and Radio Company Trialeti Ltd used the above-mentioned frequency range to carry out the mentioned activities (transit of TV broadcasting) without having radiofrequency spectrum license and without frequency assignment authorization given by the Commission on the basis of the Commission’s Decision.
