Two-day Conference of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) to be Held in Tbilisi

 

The Georgian National Communications Commission is hosting a two-day conference of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).

Luis Jorge Romero Saro, Director General of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and Akaki Sikharulidze, acting Chairman of the Georgian National Communications Commission will open the conference on May 15, 2014, at 09:00, in Courtyard Marriott Tbilisi Hotel.

During the two-day seminar managers of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute will discuss the possibilities of introduction and development of 4G broadband internet service (LTE) as well as perspectives of access to wireless broadband network service. The European experts will also discuss the future of media content distribution and opportunities of next generation networks (NGN).

Representatives of the Georgian National Communications Commission, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia as well as the Agency for Standards and Metrology will attend the conference. Leading broadcasters, internet providers, mobile and fixed network operators will also attend the seminar.
