A two-day seminar will be held for the regional broadcasters on the Georgian National Communications Commission’s initiative supported by IREX (International Research and Exchanges Board) G-MEDIA (Georgian Media Enhance Democracy, Informed citizenry and Accountability) program.

The conference will be held at the Hotel Citadine in Tbilisi on September 21-22, 2011. For the TV companies from different regions the following topics will be discussed within the framework of the two-day seminar: digital broadcasting and licensing, cable broadcasting and its specifics, broadcasting through frequency and its specifics, code of conduct for broadcasters and self-regulation and lastly, broadcasters obligations and reports.

Kakhi Kurashvili, Head of the Legal Department of the Georgian National Communications Commission will chair the meeting. Apart from the representatives of the Commission the invited experts will also present a report.
