On March 15, 2015, at 14:00 pm, Consumer Rights Public Defender’s office based under GNCC is holding a press-conference due to the World Consumer Rights Day occasion.

 Consumer Rights Public Defender’s office based under GNCC was established in accordance with the Georgian law “on National Regulatory Authorities” in order to provide additional guarantees for the protection of consumer interests independently from the regulatory body of the Commission’s office. 

An objective of Consumer Rights Public Defender’s office is to protect consumer’s legal rights and interests in the field of broadcasting and electronic communications.

At the press-conference, Communications Ombudsman will introduce to the guests main activities and principles of Consumer Rights Public Defender’s office. The main topics will consist of the following:

1.      Annual report of the activities of the Consumer Rights Public Defender’s office.
2.      Statistics of the complaints recorded in 2014 and results to the response.
3.      Future activities.
