At the session held on August 18 of the current year, GNCC has reviewed an issue related to an illegal re-transmission of miscellaneous broadcasting channels by “TV Speqtri” Ltd, “Odishi” Ltd and “TVCom” Ltd.

After reviewing an issue, the Commission has determined that all three companies have violated the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, the WIPO Copyright Treaty, and the Georgian laws “on Copyright and Related Rights " and “on Broadcasting.” Written warnings have been issued on the companies and they have been assigned to immediately cancel illegal re-transmission of above-mentioned channels.
