www.adjaranet.com has returned to web space

The meeting has been held at GNCC with the representatives of “CGL” Ltd (www.adjaranet.com), “Imovies.ge” Ltd, “Silknet” JSC, “Iberia TV” Ltd, “Public Broadcaster” LEPL,  “Movie Distribution” Ltd and “GDS” Ltd in regard to the issue of the placement of inadmissible production in the web space (illegal feature films and TV shows). 

The representatives of “CGL” Ltd (www.adjaranet.com) have confirmed, that audio visual production noted in the statements presented to the Commission by “Iberia TV” Ltd, “Public Broadcaster” LEPL, “Movie Distribution” Ltd and “GDS” Ltd, on which companies hold appropriate permissions, are removed from the web-site  (www.adjaranet.com). In particular, such popular and expensive feature films and TV shows as: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Grey’s Anatomy, American Horror Story etc. Also, those new film premiers currently showing at the movie theatres whose screening is not over yet, in some cases has not even started.

With a regard to the above-mentioned, the Commission has addressed internet providers once again, this time has asked to re-establish access for the users on www.adjaranet.com.

The letter of GNCC of May 5, 2016, in which the Commission, in accordance with the regulations “on Providing Services and on Protection of Consumer Rights in the Sphere of Electronic Communications,” has asked to limit access of inadmissible production available at  www.adjaranet.com, “CGL” Ltd has appealed at Tbilisi City Court. Based on “CGL” Ltd’s statement, the company has removed disputed audio visual production from the web-site before court trials were over.

Participant parties of the meeting have agreed for the future co-operation in order to promote the provision of legal content in the web space.
