GNCC has issued a written warning on an entity authorized for transit of broadcasting in the municipality of Kvareli - sole proprietor “Paata Abralishvili” for an illegal re-transmission of several broadcasting channels.

The sole proprietor used to re-transmit following broadcasting channels without valid license and permit: “Imedi,” “Maestro,” “TV 11,” “Индия ТВ,” Боец ТВ” and “RU TV.”

The Commission has considered, that S/P “Paata Abramishvili” has violated Berne Convention for the Protection of Literacy and Artistic Works, the WIPO Copyright Treaty and the Georgian laws “on Copyright and Related Rights” and “on Broadcasting.” In accordance with the Commission’s decision, legal entity has been assigned to cease the re-transmission of the above-mentioned broadcasting channels.
