ComCom’s Media School Studio Opens Applications for a Four-Month Journalism Training Course

The Media School Studio of the Communications Commission’s Media Academy has opened applications for the fifth cohort of its practical four-month training course. As part of the selection process, 14 students interested in journalism will be selected and given a unique opportunity to acquire all the knowledge and skills required for a career in journalism, free of charge and under the guidance of professional mentors, paving the way for a career in the media sector.

Second-, third- and fourth-year students, as well as bachelor’s degree holders who wish to pursue journalism training free of charge, must register by 10 November.

To ensure effective delivery of the intensive course, the Media School Studio is equipped with all the necessary facilities and technical equipment. In a newsroom specially designed for them, students will learn how to produce news bulletins, reports and podcasts; develop camera operation skills; improve their speech and on-camera presentation; prepare news content for television and online platforms; and gain expertise in audio editing and sound production, producing non-news TV reports and programmes, video editing, interview preparation, producing and presenting. Upon completing the course, participants will be able to independently create high-quality media content.

Notably, 85% of Media School Studio graduates have already secured employment at various media organisations. Successful graduates will receive certificates from the Media School, which will also recommend them to potential employers.

Candidates seeking admission to the Media School Studio must pass a three-stage selection process, during which the strongest applicants will be selected through written testing and oral interviews.
