10 Books on Telecommunications Published with ComCom’s Support

The Communications Commission has helped publish more than 10 books on telecommunications, dealing with the development of the industry and the challenges faced by telecom. The books were authored by members of the Advisory Board of the Commission. 

ComCom Advisory Board member Sergo Shavgulidze has written 6 new books in Georgian language that were published in 2021-2023 with the support of the Communications Commission, the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia and Caucasus University. These include “The Road to 6G: The Challenges for Communication Engineers” and “New Security Technologies for 6G Networks.” These works discuss the evolution networks from 5G to 6G, and examine topics such as artificial intelligence, unmanned aerial devices and massive satellite constellations. They also offer an overview of security trends and threats related to 6G. 

In addition, Revaz Svanidze's textbook “Transmission Digital Fiber-Optic Systems and Technologies” has been published for specialists working in the field of telecommunications, as well as bachelor’s, masters and PhD students of the Georgian Technical University, Caucasus University and University of Georgia. It includes the author’s research into digital fibre-optic systems and technologies that has been published in Georgian and international journals. Revaz Svanidze has also published the book “5G Mobile Technologies and Electromagnetic Radiation,” which examines the characteristics of 5G mobile technology, electromagnetic radiation emitted by mobile phones, and their impact on people and the environment.
