Apply to Learn Journalism at ComCom Media School Studio
Applications for the Media School Studio of the Communications Commission close on 13 July. The intensive practical 4-month course provides a unique opportunity for third and fourth-year students or faculty graduates interested in journalism to study the profession completely free of charge with the help of professional mentors. Specifically, the course participants will master news reporting, preparing television and radio stories and programmes, the art of interviewing, videography, editing, as well as social media marketing, and will create a diverse media portfolio in a newsroom created especially for them.
Applicants will be able to enroll in the Media School Studio course after passing a selection process. During the initial stage, the interested parties must fill out an application form and register by 13 July. The second stage will involve a written test on 16-17 July, while for the final stage, contestants will undergo an oral interview and a test video recording on 21-22 July. Applicants who successfully complete all three stages will receive practical knowledge from a group of practicing media professionals over a period of 4 months, and will be issued with a certificate at the end of the course.
It is worth noting that several graduates of the Media School Studio have already been able to find employment in various media organisations with the help of the recommendations provided by the Media School and the experience gained.
Training and workshops will be held at the Media Academy from 8 September to 26 December, every day except weekends, from 09:00 to 18:00. The course will provide all the necessary equipment, tools and materials needed to work in a real newsroom environment.
