ComCom and European University to Cooperate on Media Literacy

The Communications Commission has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the European University. The document was signed by ComCom member Natia Kukuladze and European University Rector Nino Taliashvili.

The cooperation will see the media literacy subject, which has already been implemented with the support of the Communications Commission, become more widely integrated into educational programmes in different fields. Furthermore, ComCom and European University will cooperate within the framework of the working group of Georgian institutes of higher education. To this end, the Commission will organise seminars by local and foreign guest experts and professors, as well as themed scientific conferences. In addition, the parties will jointly implement media literacy projects for students and lecturers.

Developing media literacy in Georgia and involving as many stakeholders as possible in this process remains one of the main priorities for the Communications Commission.
