ComCom Chairman Discusses Current Cooperation and Future Projects with World Bank Representative

Chairman of the Communications Commission, Goga Gulordava, held a meeting with Himat Singh Sandhu, Digital Development Specialist of the World Bank, to discuss the issues of cooperation between the Commission and the World Bank, and the progress of the Log In Georgia project. 

During the meeting, Goga Gulordava highlighted the role of the World Bank in the country’s digital transformation process and noted that the World Bank is one of Georgia’s key partners. 

“Support in the areas of broadband infrastructure, regional development, digital inclusion and international positioning is particularly important. We are grateful for the contribution made by the World Bank in showcasing Georgia’s potential as a digital hub,” said the Chairman of ComCom. 

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the Log-in Georgia project. The World Bank representative noted to Mr. Gulordava that ComCom is successfully implementing the components assigned to it within the framework of the project, as evidenced by the results of the ongoing Digital Support Programme. Goga Gulordava noted that it is important for the Communications Commission to implement the relevant components of the project as efficiently as possible. 

At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed specific areas for future cooperation.
