ComCom Expands International Cooperation

Within the framework of the 2026 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum and the "AI for Good" Global Summit, Chairman of the Communications Commission Goga Gulordava held a series of bilateral meetings and signed new memoranda of understanding to strengthen international cooperation.

On behalf of ComCom, Mr. Gulordava signed cooperation memoranda with the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Jordan (TRC) and the Communications Regulatory Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (RAK). The memoranda were co-signed by TRC Chair Lara El Khatib, and Director General of RAK Drasko Milinovic. Under the agreements, the parties committed to strengthening cooperation through the exchange of expertise in the telecommunications sector and the implementation of joint initiatives.

During his visit to Geneva, Goga Gulordava also held a bilateral meeting with Mesrop Mesropyan, Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia (PSRC). The introductory meeting concluded with both sides expressing their intention to establish close cooperation. In addition, Mr. Gulordava met with Milan B. Radulović, President of the Board of the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of Montenegro (EKIP). The meeting focussed on opportunities for bilateral cooperation, future joint activities, and included a presentation of ComCom's key projects.

The ComCom delegation took part in the 2026 WSIS Forum and the "AI for Good" Global Summit, organised by the International Telecommunication Union in partnership with the UN agencies UNESCO, UNCTAD and UNDP, as well as the Swiss Confederation. The WSIS Forum serves as a global innovation hub where delegates from around the world assess progress in implementing the commitments of the WSIS+20 Resolution and discuss major issues including universal connectivity, artificial intelligence, digital public infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital inclusion, online risks, disinformation, the use of digital technologies to advance sustainable development, and the creation of a human-centred digital future. The 2026 edition of the WSIS Forum was held alongside the ITU's "AI for Good" Global Summit and the International Dialogue on AI Governance organised by the United Nations General Assembly. The programme also featured high-level sessions, thematic exhibitions, and bilateral working meetings.
