ComCom: Fixed Internet is Available in 2,571 Villages
According to the 2024 Activity Report of the Communications Commission, the penetration rate of fixed broadband subscribers in households increased to 99.4% last year.
Penetration was highest in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara (146%), followed by Tbilisi with 140%, Samtskhe-Javakheti with 101%, Kvemo Kartli with 88%, Mtskheta-Mtianeti with 86%, Shida Kartli with 75%, Imereti with 68%, Kakheti with 67%, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti with 63%, Guria with 62%, and Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti with 24%.
According to the 2024 data, fixed broadband services were accessible in all cities and towns in Georgia, as well as in 2,571 out of 3,385 villages. The number of villages with broadband access increased by 30 compared to the previous year.
