ComCom Holds a Coordination Meeting with Representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan

On 11-12 July, representatives of the Communications Commission held a working meeting with employees of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan to coordinate broadcasting and mobile services.

The meeting discussed the issues of digital television, VHF/FM and digital radio broadcasting, and land mobile services. In addition, the results of joint radio monitoring of broadcasting services were presented, according to which no harmful interference was detected between Georgian and Azerbaijani broadcasts. The parties also agreed on the allocation of frequencies for FM radio and television broadcasting stations.

The meeting was also dedicated to exchanging the results of joint testing of the mobile network and discussing issues related to the implementation of the Technical Agreement Document (TAD) for the coordination of IMT systems. Furthermore, the discussion touched on the optimisation of mobile networks and ensuring the use of frequency channels, as well as the NCC, SC and PCI parameters in accordance with the TAD document. The meeting focused on the field strength and distance parameters for 5G technology, as well as the priority PCI identifiers allocated for NR (5G).

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of joint use of the 174-230 MHz band, as well as the optimisation of T-DAB services, and agreed to prepare a plan for the allocation of frequency blocks in the aforementioned band.
