ComCom Holds a Lecture on 5G for Sokhumi State University Students

In order to raise awareness among students about technology and the field of telecommunications, the Communications Commission held an informative lecture at Sukhumi State University, providing young people with information about 5G. 

The public meeting was chaired by the ComCom Head of Technology and Spectrum Department Sandro Karumidze, who summarised the advantages of 5G technology, its distinguishing features from the already implemented technologies, current global trends and the prospects for Georgia in this field. Students also learned about the processes and activities implemented by ComCom for the purpose of introducing 5G internet in the country. 

The Communications Commission has already held informational meetings on the subject of modern technologies at 4 Georgian universities, and will do the same at other institutes of higher education in the future.
