The Communications Commission held a public lecture on the subject of “Media Environment and Media Regulation” at the Georgian Technical University to raise awareness among students about the field of telecommunications.

The meeting was chaired by ComCom member Ivane Makharadze, who talked about the current media environment in Georgia. During the lecture, students received information about the country's media policy, the requirements for starting TV and radio broadcasting, the areas regulated by the Georgian legislation, as well as the challenges faced by the Georgian media and the role of the Communications Commission in media development 

The Communications Commission will continue holding informational meetings on the subject of media and telecommunications at other Georgian universities in the future.
