ComCom Holds an Informational Meeting with 500 Citizens in Kobuleti and Khelvachauri

As part of the Digital Support Programme of the  Log-in Georgia project, the Communications Commission has held informational meetings in around 30 target villages of Kobuleti and Khelvachauri municipalities, including Gvara, Tskavrovka, Leghva, Kakuti, Acharistskali, Maghlakoni, Kapnistavi, Kibe, Maradidi, Kirnati, Acharis Aghmarti, Kedkedi, Zeda Chkhutuneti, Kveda Chkhutuneti, Chikuneti, Tkhilnari, Zeda Tkhilnari, Agara, Makho and Simoneti.

The goal of the informational meetings was to promote the use of state digital electronic services and stimulate demand for the internet. The meetings were attended by local government representatives, teachers, school pupils, small entrepreneurs and farmers, as well as representatives of the Gender Council and members of the „Women's Room“ association. The local population received detailed information about the activities of the Digital Support Programme. Workshops on safe and beneficial use of the internet, including how to find information online and gain access to useful online resources, will begin in January.

The Digital Support Programme is a component of the Log-in Georgia project and aims to raise the awareness of rural population about the effective use of the internet and enhance their digital skills.

The Log-in Georgia project is co-funded by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank. It is being implemented to support the Georgian State Internetization Programme. The project aims to provide around 500,000 people in 1000 villages and rural settlements in Georgia with access to affordable high-quality internet services, as well as to help develop digital skills and facilitate the use of digital services.
