In order to raise young people’s awareness about the telecom industry, the Communications Commission held a public lecture for Tbilisi State University students on the subject of 5G technology.

The lecture was presented by the ComCom Head of Spectrum and Technology Department Sandro Karumidze, who gave students detailed information about the advantages of 5G technology, its distinguishing features from the already implemented technologies, current global trends and the prospects for Georgia in this field. The participants also learned about the processes and activities implemented by ComCom for the purpose of introducing 5G internet in the country.

Public lectures on the implementation and development of new technologies began at the Tbilisi State University, and will continue at other universities in the future.
