ComCom Holds Meetings on Media Literacy with Town Hall Employees in Zugdidi and Khelvachauri

As part of the Digital Support Programme, the Communications Commission continues to hold informational meetings about media literacy in municipalities across Georgia. ComCom Media Literacy Department representative Mariam Gugulashvili held a presentation for town hall employees in Zugdidi and Khelvachauri. The meeting discussed issues such as the role and importance of media literacy, separation of information, facts, opinion and fake news, disinformation methods, as well as distinguishing between trolls and bots. Attendees received comprehensive information on propaganda and conspiracy theories, the capabilities of artificial intelligence, and the dangers of disinformation.
In addition to theoretical information, participants had the opportunity to discuss specific examples using a practical group tasks.
