ComCom Introduces the Digital Support Programme in the Target Villages of Sachkhere

The Communications Commission has launched the Digital Support Programme in the Municipality of Sachkhere, holding informational meetings in the target villages of Argveti, Bakhioti, Chala, Chalovani, Chikha, Darka, Ghona, Itavaza, Jalaurta, Jria, Korbouli, Kveda Orghuli, Kvemo Khevi, Mokhva, Nigvzara, Perevi, Sareki, Bajiti, Shomakheti and Tskhami. The meetings were attended by the World Bank's digital development specialist Himmat Singh Sandhu. 

As part of the Digital Support Programme, residents of the target settlements in Sachkhere will be able to receive free training in digital literacy and safe use of the internet, and learn about important issues such as finding the desired information online, using Google applications and social platforms, etc. Participants will also be issued with a certificate. The Digital Support Programme is part of the Log-in Georgia project, which is co-funded by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank. It is being implemented to support the Georgian State Internetization Programme. The project aims to provide around 500,000 people in rural settlements in Georgia with access to affordable high-quality internet services, as well as to help develop digital skills and facilitate the use of digital services.
